01What services does Precobuild offer?+

We provide architectural design, structural engineering, and MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) engineering consultancy for residential and commercial projects.

02Do I need to hire separate firms for architecture, structural, and MEP work?+

No. One advantage of working with Precobuild is that all three disciplines are coordinated under one roof, which helps avoid the communication gaps and design conflicts that often come from managing separate consultants.

03What types of projects do you work on?+

We work on new home builds, extensions and renovations, commercial fit-outs, and standalone structural or MEP consultations.

04How do I start a project with Precobuild?+

Simply contact us with a brief description of your project. We’ll schedule an initial consultation to understand your goals, scope, and timeline.

05Do you offer free consultations?+

Initial discussions to understand your project scope are typically complimentary. Detailed design work and formal quotes are provided once we understand your requirements.

06What information should I bring to a first consultation?+

Any existing drawings, site details, a rough budget range, and a general idea of what you’re trying to achieve (e.g., “add a second story” or “open-plan kitchen renovation”) are helpful starting points.

07How long does a typical project take?+

Timelines vary significantly by project size and complexity. A kitchen or bathroom remodel may take a few weeks for design, while a new home build or commercial fit-out can take several months from concept through to construction-ready drawings.

08What does the design process look like?+

Generally: initial consultation, concept design, structural and MEP coordination, detailed drawings, and final documentation for permitting and construction.

09Do you handle building permits and approvals?+

We prepare drawings and documentation to meet local code requirements. Please contact us directly to confirm the specific permitting support included in your project scope.

10How much do your services cost?+

Costs depend on project size, complexity, and scope of services required. We provide a formal quote after understanding your project during the initial consultation.

11Is structural engineering required for every project?+

Not always. Projects that don’t affect load-bearing elements (e.g., cosmetic renovations) may not require structural engineering input, while anything touching walls, foundations, or additional floors typically does.

12Can you work with an architect or engineer I’ve already hired?+

Yes, we’re happy to coordinate with existing consultants on your project, though working with our full in-house team often simplifies coordination.

13Do you work with clients outside your local area?+

Please reach out with your project location and details, and we’ll confirm whether we can support your project.

14What if my project changes scope partway through?+

This is common in construction. We’ll discuss any scope changes with you and adjust the design, timeline, and cost estimate accordingly.
